Original oil painting in progress; this piece is 16” X 20” archival canvas on panel. It is such a joy to watch these glads spring from bulbs and gradually make their spectacular showing. I have now done reds, yellows and here are the pinks.
Work In Progress: "White Lily" on the Biltmore Estate's Bass Pond
WIP Work In Progress, White Lilly on the Biltmore Estate's bass pond. What a challenge it is to work larger, but I'm learning a great deal at 22 X 28". So interesting how each pad has its own look and personality. If you're ever in Asheville (let's hope all this pandemic stuff is done sooner rather then later) call me; I'll show you where it is.

Work In Progress: "Earth Striations, Night Gyrations" by C. Twomey
The summer heat is here, and with it an unsettled mood. Getting that energy out onto the canvas is the only thing that relieves the pressure. I’m imagining the earth crunching, moving, shifting and changing. There’s the warm and the cool in flux, in contention.
Or maybe it’s because I’m having foot surgery in 2 weeks. That would unsettle anyone.
"The Gulf, Sarasota With Sunset" by C. Twomey, Work In Progress
Sunsets are irresistible. There's something about the ritual of gathering along the sea as the first hints of the day's end appear. Every second, every minute and the sky comes alive. The colors deepen, the reflections suggest watercolors and sterling silver and transitions.
This is an original acrylic pour combined with handpainting. It is 12 X 12" and ready to hang.
